Dorothy L. Whitmill, 80 of Sylvania, and formerly of Lambertville, MI, died Monday, June 13, 2016 in Flower Hospital. Born April 9, 1936, in Lambertville, MI, she was the daughter of Henry and Agnes (Styer) Buchelt. She married Milton L. Whitmill on June 18, 1953 in Temperance, MI. He preceded her in death on November 9, 2009. Dorothy loved reading, cooking, crocheting, but mostly spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving children, Robert (Cindy) Whitmill, Connie (Michael) Cornell, Rita (Robert) Zink, Kimberly (Steven) Puls, sister, Geri Scobey and 9 grandchildren 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Virginia Whitmill, grandson, James Cutlip, brothers, Henry, Jr., Robert and Melvin Buchelt,
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Thursday, June 16, 2016, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Friday, June 17, 2016 at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Whiteford Union Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at the Goerlich Center for the excellent care she received for the past 5 years.
